Beth's Professional Background
After earning her BA in Business, Organizations, and Society from Franklin & Marshall College and spending several years in the corporate sector, Beth pursued her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Silberman School of Social Work, Hunter College.
Beth began her clinical training at the LGBT Center in Manhattan, where she provided therapy and advocacy for transgender and gender nonconforming individuals, people newly diagnosed with HIV, and those seeking political asylum as a result of their LGBTQ+ identities. She continued her work at The Fifth Avenue Counseling Center, supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and chronic illness.
At Bellevue Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, Beth worked with teens, emerging adults, and their families around challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-harm, substance use, and trauma. She also helped expand services for transgender and gender-expansive youth, ensuring greater access to affirming and affordable care.
Following her work at Bellevue, Beth became Program Director at Dwellness In-Home Psychological Services, overseeing program development, collaborations, and clinical service administration. She later served as a Suicide Prevention Counselor at Baruch College, CUNY, providing therapy for students and contributing to the school’s Suicide Prevention Task Force.
In addition to private practice, Beth has supervised MSW interns, LMSWs, and LCSWs at Dwellness, the Institute for Human Identity, and through her own group practice. She is also an active volunteer with the Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Team, offering support to individuals and communities during crises.
