Nina's Professional Background

After earning her BA in Psychology from The New School, Nina began her career in education, working in Early Intervention and later as a classroom assistant in both first grade and pre-nursery settings. While she found fulfillment in supporting students and families, it was the one-on-one connections—particularly those centered around emotional development and social support—that ultimately drew her to the field of therapy. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University.

As part of her clinical training, Nina interned at New Design High School, where she provided individual and group counseling to adolescents, collaborated closely with faculty and families to support student success, and led efforts to strengthen student attendance through targeted outreach. She continued her clinical work at the Puerto Rican Family Institute, offering psychotherapy to clients ranging in age from 10 to 45. There, she conducted intakes, developed individualized treatment plans, and engaged in weekly clinical case reviews, deepening her skills in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.

In her current role as a psychotherapist at Beth Gladstone Therapy, Nina works with individuals and couples navigating a range of challenges including anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, OCD, and neurodivergence (Autism and ADHD). She has a particular passion for supporting college students and emerging adults through periods of growth, identity exploration, and change.

Drawing from psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed frameworks, Nina brings a warm, collaborative, and strengths-focused approach to her work. She believes in meeting clients where they are, balancing depth with humor, and creating a space where insight, emotion, and authentic connection can unfold.
