SUSAn's Professional BackgroundSusan earned her BA in Psychology and Human Development from Connecticut College and went on to complete her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Holistic Specialization at Lesley University. Early in her training, she focused on working with young adults and individuals navigating life transitions, including creatives such as actors, artists, and performers.
Susan began her clinical experience supporting clients managing anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and self-esteem concerns. She gained hands-on experience helping people cope with adjustment issues, relationship and family challenges, parenting, divorce and empty nesting, emphasizing a strengths-based and person-centered approach.
She has developed her clinical practice to integrate EMDR alongside humanistic, relational, and integrative approaches, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique experiences and goals. Susan is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can process difficult experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop tools to thrive in everyday life.
Today, Susan continues her work through private practice, helping clients navigate life transitions, family dynamics, creative careers, and personal growth with curiosity, compassion, and practical support.
